Noisy Minor Brewing Co – ANZUS IPA

Noisy Minor’s ANZUS IPA is a tribute to the Australian, New Zealand and United States hop growing nations. The ANZUS is Noisy Minor’s take on the great American IPA, but without malt immoderacy.

There is no doubt that we are all familiar with Noisy Minor’s ANZUS IPA. It’s been in the The Local Taphouse Hottest 100 since it was released. It’s a go to IPA at the taps for many, but what makes this brew so special? What’s its appeal?

Well, for me, it’s a an easy IPA to drink, but more than that, it’s easy to drink with all the hop bitterness. A light IPA if you like. Perfect for figgin hot summers.

This brew allows the hops to garner all the attention, and renders malts as the back up singer. It’s a diva. Move over Mariah Carey.

It’s dry, bitter, very flavoursome, and thirst quenching. The beer you want to drink with all the hops. A lot of swing, and a bit of ding.

Next Door Cellar have this as one of their November specials. Click here to check it out!Pop down to their cold room at 85 Russell St, West End and chill out!

The Technical:

Hops: Galaxy (Australia), Nelson Sauvin (New Zealand), Simcoe (United States)

Malts: Crystal

AVB: 6%

IBU: 60

Colour: Golden amber

Taste: If you don’t like hops, hop to another beer. This has ample hop flavour; resiny, piney and fruity (like me)!

Overall: Fantastic go to IPA when you want to drink a big beer without the girth.
